This challenging yet rewarding role involves working closely with students exhibiting challenging behaviour in a secondary special school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, building trust and rapport to encourage their personal and academic growth.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement personalized intervention plans.
- Utilize strong behaviour management skills to create a calm, supportive atmosphere within the school.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
- Completion of manual handling training is essential.
- Strong behaviour management skills with a patient and understanding approach.
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
About the Role:
This Behavioural Mentor role offers a daily rate of £75 - £100 (depending on experience) and provides a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with SEMH needs.
