About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Council Tax Billing and Recovery Officer. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective administration of Council Tax accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer Council Tax accounts in accordance with legislation and Council policy, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Monitor accounts, process changes of circumstance, and make payment arrangements to maximize income due to the Council.
  • Process payments and update accounts to ensure computerized recovery processes can be carried out.
  • Respond to customer enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Use Microsoft packages and other bespoke systems to manage Council Tax accounts and customer interactions.
