Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team. As a Financial Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of all financial aspects of the company. This role has management responsibilities for the finance team and is responsible for ensuring the financial aspects of the business are managed and controlled.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and conduct P&L variance analysis.
  • Financial Reporting: Collaborate closely with the financial controller and auditors for a seamless year-end audit.
  • Tax Compliance: Responsible for VAT returns and support on annual tax reporting.
  • System Implementation: Integral part of the team implementing a new accounting system.
  • Process Improvement: Automate the purchase approval process and create streamlined bank feeds.
  • Team Management: Become the go-to person for system support within the finance team. Mentor and manage the small finance team.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Skills: Solid understanding of financial controls, compliance, and risk management.
  • Personal Qualities: Proactive, detail-oriented, and thriving in a fast-paced PE backed-environment.
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable exploring financial software and ERP systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communicator, ready to build strong relationships within the business.
