Plant Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Plant Fitter to join our team at Howard Civil Engineering Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our plant and equipment.

• Conduct regular servicing and repairs to maintain maximum machine reliability and meet customer safety standards.
• Inspect equipment at every opportunity and report any damage, wear, or defects.
• Diagnose and repair broken or faulty machinery, ensuring all tasks are conducted in accordance with company health and safety policies.
• Provide consultation on correct operation and daily maintenance measures to machine operators.
• Liaise with management to ensure stock is replenished adequately and maintain accurate records of work completed.

We are looking for a candidate with a keen eye for detail, who can remain calm under pressure and is proactive in addressing repairs, stock, and health and safety issues. A team mentality and ability to help colleagues when needed are essential. Ideally, you will provide your own tools and be punctual and reliable.

• Previous experience working on heavy plant vehicles is crucial for success.
• Vast knowledge of plant machinery, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Competent in the service and repair of plant and vehicles.
• A recognised trade qualification is beneficial - Level 2/3 in plant maintenance or similar.
• A valid clean driving license.
