Microbiologist Specialist

CK Group is seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist Technologist to join their team in the healthcare industry. This is a contract position for 12 months, based in Barnard Castle.

We are looking for a talented Microbiologist Technologist to conduct general microbiology laboratory practical duties, including environmental control, endotoxin, sterility, and microbial limit testing. The successful candidate will also be responsible for microbial analysis of raw materials, components, intermediates, and final products, as well as environmental monitoring of the site.

• Conduct general microbiology laboratory practical duties, including environmental control, endotoxin, sterility, and microbial limit testing.
• Perform microbial analysis of raw materials, components, intermediates, and final products.
• Conduct environmental monitoring of the site.
• Support Senior Microbiology Technologist and Team Manager in generating reports and producing testing protocols.
• Assist in regulatory area, QA audits, and inspections (MCA/FDA).

• Hold a relevant degree or have equivalent working knowledge.
• Experience in microbiology, including environmental control, finished product testing (endotoxin, sterility, or microbial limit testing), sterilization, biological indicators, and microbial identification.
• Experience in physical monitoring of areas, aseptic techniques, and working to GMP standards.
• Good understanding of pathogenicity and ecology of microorganisms.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques.
