Among these, QINLOCK (ripretinib) stands out as our switch control inhibitor specifically designed for fourth-line GIST treatment. QINLOCK has received approval in multiple regions, including Australia, Canada, China, the European Union, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United States, and the United Kingdom. With the exception of a development and commercialization out-license agreement for QINLOCK in Greater China, we maintain full ownership of QINLOCK and our other drug candidates. Additionally, we have successfully identified and progressed several product candidates from our platform into clinical trials, such as vimseltinib and DCC-3116.

Position Overview

We are in search of a Market Access Director to spearhead our initiatives in evidence generation for cost-effectiveness archetype markets across Europe, while also contributing to our international growth. Your extensive experience in crafting and implementing market access strategies will be crucial in establishing a globally synchronized market access pathway. At Deciphera, we are committed to facilitating patient access to our innovative therapies and promising pipeline.

This role will report directly to the VP of Market Access International.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Position Deciphera as a credible partner with Health Authorities (NICE, SMC, NHS England, NHS Scotland, etc.)
  • Oversee the Pricing and Reimbursement strategy and processes for the UK
  • Inform the International and European Market Access Strategy with insights and priorities from the UK
  • Lead the creation of the Strategic HTA evidence base for commercial and/or late-stage assets in collaboration with Medical and HEOR teams
  • Direct Strategic and Operational Pricing and Reimbursement Submissions for Cost-Effectiveness archetype markets
  • Ensure that Cost-Effectiveness Archetype priorities are integrated within clinical development strategies as well as Market Access and Pricing strategies
  • Guide the European RWE strategy and execution, which are vital for the market access success of commercial and late-stage assets
  • Contribute insights and participate in International and Global cross-functional program/workstream teams
  • Assist International market access efforts with HTA evidence adaptation and expertise as necessary
  • Support the development of a best-in-class market access organization
  • Lead or assist with various functional priorities/projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • University degree, MBA, or PhD in science and/or economics preferred
  • Proven experience in leading the development of strategic HTA evidence, including cost-effectiveness archetypes at various stages
  • Hands-on experience with HTA processes
  • In-depth knowledge of market access trends, tactics, and dynamics within the UK and Europe
  • Expertise in at least one core market access domain (pricing, HEOR, policy, local market execution)
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams across different regions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Oncology experience is advantageous
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential
  • Strong capability to understand the broader context in market access and collaborate across domains
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, frequent changes, and senior-level interactions; confidence in seeking assistance when necessary
  • Robust strategic, tactical, and operational skills with the flexibility to shift between strategic and operational tasks
  • Strong learning agility and capacity to engage deeply across various disease areas
  • Ability to work across cultures, languages, and regions, with a willingness to travel as required by the business
