As the Maintenance Operations Supervisor, you will report directly to the Regional Maintenance Manager, ensuring that property upkeep meets the highest standards of safety and quality for both staff and guests.
Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining seamless operations, focusing on safety, compliance, and productivity across the properties in the region.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Executing both planned and emergency maintenance for various properties, including hospitality venues and operational facilities.
- Assisting the Regional Maintenance Manager in overseeing the maintenance budget.
- Providing leadership in the absence of the Regional Maintenance Manager, effectively managing team queries and work requests.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders, including guests, team members, and external contractors.
- Upholding brand standards and maintaining a professional appearance.
- Conducting general maintenance and repair tasks, prioritizing the health and safety of all individuals on-site.
- Addressing urgent repair needs promptly.
- Managing reactive maintenance requests and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Assisting in the management of planned maintenance to keep all facilities in optimal condition.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Working with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and reduce downtime.
- Conducting water quality tests for swimming facilities.
- Documenting maintenance tasks and updating logs upon completion.
- Familiarizing yourself with the layout and equipment of all properties in the region.
- Evaluating operational costs and seeking ways to optimize resources without sacrificing quality.
- Supervising team members to ensure adherence to company policies and legal standards.
- Monitoring compliance with regulations and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a maintenance or facilities context.
- Strong time management abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Possession of a full, clean driving license.
- Ability to diagnose and address routine maintenance issues or coordinate repairs with external contractors.
- Knowledge of swimming pool maintenance and water quality standards.
- Proficiency in handling maintenance tasks related to basic electrical, plumbing, and decorative work.
- A proactive attitude with a strong sense of initiative.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in the construction industry.
- Experience in a multi-site hospitality or facilities management environment.
- Familiarity with plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
