Interim Head of Strategic Funding

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our Strategic Funding efforts, making a real difference to the lives of young people.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our fundraising team, as we expand to meet the huge potential to raise more money to support Scouts' mission. We're engaging new funders and partners who share our drive to make Scouts accessible to more young people, growing our movement inclusively to reach those who would benefit most.
You will have a fantastic opportunity to lead the development of our Strategic Funding efforts, working closely with senior colleagues, including the CEO. You will develop your strategic thinking and operational management skills, as well as your understanding of how a values-based organisation makes decisions and delivers for its members.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of our Strategic Funding efforts, making a real difference to the lives of young people.
- Work closely with senior colleagues, including the CEO, to develop and implement strategic funding plans.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including funders and partners.
- Manage and develop a team of fundraising professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality fundraising results.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in strategic fundraising, with a track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of fundraising professionals.
- Ability to think strategically and develop and implement effective funding plans.
