About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our team at HMR and Youth Offender Institution. As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to assess and manage their mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage patients' mental health needs, developing holistic healthcare plans that address their physical, social, and psychological needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide evidence-based care, seeking feedback from patients and acting on their concerns to ensure personalized care.
  • Contribute to the development of our nursing strategy, inspiring excellence in your colleagues and recognizing the value of our workforce.
  • Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, always considering safeguarding and adhering to our policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Mental Health qualification.
  • Current professional qualification (NMC).
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
  • Experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
  • Understanding of mental health policy, including clinical governance and the quality and outcomes framework, along with national standards such as NICE.
