Role Overview:
The Project Sales Engineer – LED Lighting will be responsible for:
  • Engaging in field sales of a diverse range of LED lighting products, including downlights, versatile battens, exterior wall lights, floodlights, and emergency lighting solutions.
* 75% of your role will involve generating demand among electrical contractors and electricians.

  • Managing lighting projects with budgets ranging from £5,000 to £500,000.
  • Overseeing an area turnover of £3 million, with approximately 50% derived from project specifications.
  • Aiming to increase area revenue by 5-10%.
* 25% of your time will be spent supporting established electrical wholesale networks.

  • Typical projects span across various sectors, including education, healthcare, industrial, and retail.
  • Conducting site surveys as necessary.
  • Ensuring accuracy and timely progression of tenders, quotes, and technical submissions.
  • Providing support to electrical wholesale branches on lighting project inquiries.
  • Identifying new opportunities through collaboration with the wholesale network.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Background in electrical field sales, preferably in lighting.
  • Proven experience selling to electrical contractors and electricians.
  • Ability to manage lighting projects from initial survey through design, tender, and sales phases.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge.
  • Familiarity with local electrical contractors is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the CEF network is a plus.
  • Proficient in CRM and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Valid driving license.
