About the Role
We are seeking an experienced nurse to join our Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Nursing Team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. As an IBD Nurse Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the patients' journey through diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care of this life-long illness.
Main Responsibilities
- Interact with patients and clinicians via face-to-face and telephone clinics, as well as the email helpline.
- Work in a dynamic, forward-thinking, nurse-led service, providing high-quality care to patients with IBD.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting self-management and empowerment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
- Registered Adult Nurse with experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with emergency situations.
- Awareness of current professional issues and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Desirable: Counselling course, degree-level qualification, and experience in infusion pumps, venepuncture, and cannulation.
