About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS). As a vital member of our Collection Team based in Aberdeen, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our blood collection services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of nurses to deliver high-quality blood collection services
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve blood collection processes and patient care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery
- Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current registration with the NMC
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of leadership and team management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work flexibly, including regular late evenings and weekend working
- Knowledge of blood collection processes and procedures
