About the Role

Galliford Try, a leading construction and civil engineering company, is seeking a Health, Safety and Sustainability Lead Advisor to join their team in the London and South East region. As part of their commitment to ensuring industry-leading standards of health, safety, and environment, this role will play a crucial part in supporting the business with projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise sites on project-specific health, safety, and sustainability matters, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement effective health, safety, and sustainability strategies to minimize risks and promote a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all personnel.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor health, safety, and sustainability practices, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • Practical experience as a full-time health, safety, and sustainability advisor in construction and civil engineering environments.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations, including health and safety legislation and environmental standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel regularly across the region to support multiple projects.
