About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team on a full-time permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a leading role in financial planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare budgets, cash-flow reports, and re-forecasts
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance reports
  • Control balance sheet reconciliations
  • Calculate accruals and prepayments for monthly and year-end accounts and post month-end journals
  • Assist with the year-end accounting process
  • Prepare the monthly and year-end payroll, including pensions, in conjunction with the external payroll bureau
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and calculate depreciation in line with accounting policy
  • Reconcile and post control accounts, including petty cash, credit card, and catering
  • Ensure the integrity of the nominal ledger and that purchase orders and invoices have been correctly coded
  • Check utilities and services invoicing and provide consumption data
Requirements
  • AAT qualified (or studying towards an accounting qualification)
  • Experience of management and financial accounting
  • Knowledge of accounting standards
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organized with excellent time management skills
