Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Inpatient Psychological Therapist to join our innovative team at Elysium Healthcare. This role is pivotal in providing specialized psychological support to young adults facing severe eating disorders and complex mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and deliver tailored, evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to formulate risk management strategies and care plans.
- Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring high-quality therapeutic support through individual and group sessions.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide clinical supervision to Assistant Psychologists and contribute to their professional development.
- Facilitate training sessions and reflective practice meetings for staff to enhance service delivery.
- Engage in service development initiatives within the therapies team.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral level training in clinical or counseling psychology (or equivalent).
- Registration with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist.
- Understanding of eating disorders and their impact on young adults and families.
- Experience in working with individuals with eating disorders, preferably in inpatient settings.
- Familiarity with therapeutic models relevant to young adults with comorbidities is advantageous.
- Proven ability to supervise and mentor junior team members.
