Job Description:
Role Overview:
GSL Education's South Yorkshire branch is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Supply Teacher to join a supportive Secondary School team. As a key team member, the General Supply Teacher plays a crucial role in ensuring uninterrupted and high-quality education when the regular classroom teacher is unavailable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects, adapting teaching approaches to accommodate diverse classroom settings and cater to varying student needs.
- Foster and sustain a positive, inclusive learning environment contributing to student growth and development, implementing school policies and procedures proficiently to maintain consistency.
- Support students' academic and emotional well-being during the absence of the regular classroom teacher, collaborating with colleagues and school staff to ensure smooth transitions and effective communication.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Teaching experience in a similar role with secondary school children or within an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with efficient classroom management skills, flexibility, and adaptability to work in different subjects and year groups.
- Currently residing in the UK and possessing an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
- Passion for education and student support.
