This is an exciting opportunity to join the finance team at Ann Pettengell as a part-time Finance Assistant. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance function and contributing to the smooth operation of the school.
Key Responsibilities:- Process purchase invoices and maintain the purchase ledger system
- Bank and reconcile the school's main bank account
- Maintain the petty cash system
- Carry out suspense account reconciliations
- Assist with payroll entry and run the school's Direct Debit system
- Take fee payments via the school's credit card facility
- Assist with billing and archiving finance data
- Other ad-hoc projects as directed by the Finance Director or Bursar
- Assist with the lettings process and raise letting invoices
- Book staff training courses and manage the evaluation process
- Process staff expenses and administer employee benefits schemes
- Administer the school trips management system
- Collate and submit accurate and timely payroll and pension data
- Provide administration support for recruitment and HR
- Previous experience in a finance department, preferably in an education setting
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Substantial proficiency in IT applications, particularly accounting systems and MS Excel
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- A logical and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of confidentiality and data protection
