We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Cooplands Bakery. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees and customers, while also maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with management and employees to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement strategies to improve health and safety performance.
- Monitor and report on health and safety performance, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and improving health and safety performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
