About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive school in Havering. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Assist with classroom activities and resources, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and teachers, fostering a positive and inclusive community.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs), tailoring support to meet the unique needs of each pupil.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to thrive and succeed.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has experience working with children with SEN, demonstrating a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Is patient, empathetic, and supportive, with a strong ability to adapt to the needs of each pupil.
  • Has strong organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Is a team player with a positive attitude, committed to contributing to a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
