About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse to join our team at Sciensus Pharma Services Limited. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and support to individuals receiving oncology therapies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments of patients' needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Administer chemotherapy medications and provide education to patients and their caregivers on safe self-medication practices.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to patients through a combination of telephone, clinic-based, and home visits.
  • Assess patients' home environments to ensure they are safe and suitable for home IV oncology treatment.
  • Manage and maintain IV lines, including changing dressings and providing advice on line care.
  • Administer blood transfusions and ensure patients' blood results are within safe parameters for treatment.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC registration.
  • Qualification in administering cytotoxic drugs and cannulation.
  • Experience in administering oncology medications, clinical assessments, and IV device care.
  • Strong understanding of therapies relevant to our service offering, including NHS knowledge of managing patients with treated conditions.
