Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Quarry Labourer - Plant Operator to join our team at the Mick George Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating plant and machinery to assist with the retrieval of minerals and profiling of ground to the required level.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate Plant and Machinery: Safely operate plant and machinery to assist with the retrieval of minerals and profiling of ground to the required level.
  2. Maintenance and Repair: Perform daily and weekly maintenance checks on mobile and fixed plant to ensure they are in good working order.
  3. Quality Control: Dispatch and control the quality of product to ensure it meets our high standards.
  4. GPS Navigation: Use GPS navigation to alter the ground to the required levels.
  5. Record Keeping: Accurately record working hours, production data, plant stoppages, and breakdowns.
  6. Site Management: Inform quarry management of any materials deemed unsuitable for production and understand company procedures for breakdowns.
  7. Training and Development: Highlight training requirements to line management and ensure compliance with legislative minimum requirements.
  8. Health and Safety: Conduct yourself in a way that does not endanger yourself or others and maintain a good standard of site cleanliness.
  9. Communication: Regularly communicate with site management to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  1. Full UK Driving Licence: Possess a full UK driving licence.
  2. Experience: Have 5 years of experience on either a Dozer, 360 Excavator, or a Dump Truck.
  3. Hard Working Nature: Demonstrate a hard working nature and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  4. GPS Experience: Have experience with GPS (machine control).
