As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of advertising that helps customers discover new products and brands find new customers. With revenues generated from advertising, we can decrease costs for our customers, making it a win-win for everyone involved.

Our mission is to build a world-class Ads Localization program that removes language-related barriers from advertising and helps suppliers reach a global audience at scale. This will be achieved by combining best-in-class machine translation technology with intelligence from human translators to deliver the highest quality marketing translations.

As a language quality specialist on this team, you will be responsible for auditing, reviewing, and assessing the quality of marketing translations, both vendor-provided and machine translation. You will work closely with Program and Product Managers to define opportunities for optimizing the quality auditing processes and be the single-threaded owner for translation quality for your language.

Key responsibilities include:

- Auditing and reviewing marketing content in the French language to ensure best-in-class quality

- Monitoring external vendor quality and investigating quality variation

- Providing feedback and linguistic coaching to external vendors

- Identifying and pursuing quality improvement initiatives with other internal teams

- Managing language quality and maintenance of associated assets

- Creating and maintaining glossaries, style guides, and translation memories for assigned languages

- Participating in vendor arbitration discussions and acting as a linguistic consultant for vendor queries

- Maintaining Amazon Advertising brand and product localization standards

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- C2/native level of French

- Fluency in English (C1+)

- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Linguistics, Communications, or related field

- Experience in Marketing, Translation, Copywriting, and/or Proofreading

- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and define improvements

- Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- +3 years' experience in localization, online advertising, translations, copywriting, proofreading, and/or marketing

- Familiarity with online retail (e-commerce)

- Demonstrable experience as a writer or content marketer

- CAT tools knowledge

- Attention to detail

- Excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities

- Ability to work in a diverse team
