About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Maintech Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks on production machinery
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Provide maintenance support to production teams to ensure efficient equipment performance
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all work carried out, root causes, and spare parts used
  • Ensure food safety is a top priority while maintaining machinery
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to drive efficiency and productivity
Requirements
  • Engineering qualification and time-served apprenticeship with a mechanical bias
  • Experience working with manufacturing machinery
  • Background in food manufacturing or FMCG preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger engineering team
  • Collaborative approach and strong communication skills
