Housing Disrepair Paralegal Role

Job Summary

Sellick Partnership (Legal) Limited is seeking a skilled Housing Disrepair Paralegal to join our team on a locum basis. As a Housing Disrepair Paralegal, you will be responsible for assisting solicitors in the Housing Team with various tasks, including conducting a personal workload of disrepair and general civil cases while complying with applicable time limits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist solicitors in the Housing Team with housing disrepair work
  • Conduct a personal workload of disrepair and general civil cases while complying with applicable time limits
  • Obtain copies of documents requested by solicitors, such as tenancy agreements and tenancy files
  • Deal with Letters of Claims
  • Draft, prepare, and collate legal documentation, including pleadings, witness statements, summonses, complaints, indictments, and other legal documents

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in housing law, ideally for a Local Authority
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
