Job Summary:

This is a key position at Project Start Recruitment Solutions, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations. As a Technical Repair Engineer, you will be the first line in all maintenance throughout your allocated sites. The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPMs, ensuring that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date. All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, while complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
  2. Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and assess the requirements of the job, carrying out repairs as necessary.
  3. Prioritize maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
  4. Order spares to the laid-down procedures.
  5. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
  6. Ensure that compliance documentation is always completed and up to date.
  7. Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by City management.
  8. Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual's technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
  9. Attend training courses as necessary to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.

Requirements:

  1. Gas / Electrical qualifications.
  2. Educated to GCSE / Standard Grade level as a minimum.
  3. Quality of repairs and maintenance.
  4. Able to work efficiently on your own or as part of a team.
  5. Excellent communicator (both written and verbally).
  6. Speed and efficiency of work.
  7. Response to service call requests within agreed response times.
  8. Achievement of PPM schedule within agreed timescales.
  9. Maintenance of Health and Safety policy.
  10. Commercial Certificates.
