Job Title: Industrial Electrical Technician

Join MDE Consultants Ltd as an Industrial Electrical Technician and contribute to the success of our manufacturing team.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Electrical Technician to provide planned preventative and predictive maintenance services to our factory operations. The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of electrical engineering principles and a comprehensive understanding of condition-based plant monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment
  • Attend emergency/unscheduled repairs of factory equipment during unplanned shutdowns
  • Capable of repairing electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic devices
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment throughout the factory
  • Safely use all hand and power tools
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to electrical failure, report conditions, and recommend steps to be taken
  • Perform preventative maintenance such as changing contacts, checking motors, according to instructions
  • PLC knowledge will be an asset but not essential
  • Install cables, conduit, for new equipment or replacing old one
Requirements
  • A formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering i.e. NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Electrical, HNC or equivalent
  • General knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment is essential
  • A good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and the application of continuous process environment
