Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Director to lead the delivery and implementation of an enterprise strategy to digitize Clinical Trials Supply across medicine and vaccines in R&D.

The Product Director will be responsible for building and leading a team of product owners who can deliver solutions to solve business problems within the Clinical Trial Supply environment. They will establish, prioritize, and maintain the overall Clinical Trial Supply strategy and approach in alignment with key stakeholders in R&D, R&D Tech, and Supply Chain.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain and logistics, experience managing cross-functional teams in an IT/Tech environment, and a working understanding of GxP and its application to software products and solutions. They will also have experience in data and analytics, and how they offer value to R&D.

The Product Director will work across other teams in R&D Digital Tech and wider Tech organization to maintain excellent service levels across the Clinical Supply application landscape and ensure R&D's license to operate. They will perform analysis of leading and emerging technology trends from the market to determine their impact and opportunities for the R&D Clinical Trial Supply with focus on Digital capabilities and innovations to enable GSK's business strategy.

The successful candidate will have a strong business acumen, knowledge of Pharma and life sciences, and ability to stay abreast and incorporate innovative and existing technologies. They will also have experience leading technology, infra, or security organizations, expertise in transformation to cloud, and exceptional strategic thought partner ability to lead in strong co-creation and collaboration with Digital and business partners across GSK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, and develop a team of product owners who can deliver solutions to solve business problems within the Clinical Trial Supply environment.
  • Establish, prioritize, and maintain the overall Clinical Trial Supply strategy and approach in alignment, co-creation, and on-going partnership with our key stakeholders in R&D, R&D Tech, and Supply Chain.
  • Support an organization responsible for enterprise solutions, providing thought leadership and innovation for all aspects of the solutions and data, to demonstrate a measurable improvement in the business process.
  • Work across other teams in R&D Digital Tech and wider Tech organization to maintain excellent service levels across the Clinical Supply application landscape and ensure R&D's license to operate.
  • Perform analysis of leading and emerging technology trends from the market to determine their impact and opportunities for the R&D Clinical Trial Supply with focus on Digital capabilities and innovations to enable GSK's business strategy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and experience of pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other relevant experience, advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience of supply chain and logistics experience in an equivalent industry.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in an IT/Tech environment.
  • A working understanding of GxP and its application to software products and solutions.
  • Experience in data and analytics, and how they offer value to R&D.
  • Experience leading technology, infra, or security organizations, expertise in transformation to cloud.
  • Exceptional strategic thought partner ability to lead in strong co-creation and collaboration with Digital and business partners across GSK.
