We are seeking a highly skilled Java Software Engineer to join our team at Mastek. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cloud native applications using cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cloud native applications using Java 8+
  • Develop strong understanding of Microservice architecture
  • Build web services and APIs on REST
  • Implement unit & integration tests, following TDD / BDD
  • Experience with test frameworks like Junit, Mockito, PowerMockito & Wiremock
  • Experience with CICD pipeline of Docker, Jenkins and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of agile ceremonies
  • Good understanding of JSON and XML
  • Experience in Relational Database Management System (e.g. PostgreSQL)

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Workflow/Business Process Management tools
  • Experience with front end technologies: HTML, JavaScript, Jquery, Mustcahe Templates
  • Experience with Performance and Monitoring tools: JMeter, Kibana, Splunk, Dynatrace
  • Experience writing Shell script
  • Basic understanding of Python
  • Good understanding on AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, API Gateway and Serverless technologies)
  • Integration Engine tools: Apache Camel and Active MQ for messaging, web services and distributed systems
  • Public Sector domain experience preferable
