The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in a well-established team, enhancing clinical excellence and operational efficiency within our pediatric services.
You will collaborate closely with fellow senior pharmacists specializing in children's services, as well as with our neonatal and women's health pharmacists.
We seek a proactive and dedicated pharmacist with outstanding clinical and communication abilities to spearhead the delivery of our specialized pediatric pharmacy services.

Main Responsibilities
As a Lead Clinical Pharmacist for Pediatric Care, you will be expected to oversee several key areas, which may include:
- Pediatric acute service - inpatient care
- Pediatric community services
- Pediatric High Dependency Unit
- Pediatric antimicrobial stewardship, including OPAT
- Pediatric virtual wards
- Pediatric outpatient services, including homecare and daycase
Provide specialized clinical pharmacy support and guidance to the pediatric specialty, demonstrating comprehensive clinical knowledge and a high level of clinical effectiveness.
Manage the daily operations of clinical pharmacy services within the pediatric directorate, ensuring the efficient, safe, and effective use of resources.
Engage in the education and clinical supervision of pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with clinical and governance teams to develop guidelines, protocols, and policies pertinent to pediatric services.

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Pharmacist with the GPhC
- Master's Degree in Pharmacy
- Post Graduate Clinical Diploma or equivalent
- Significant post-registration experience as a hospital pharmacist
- Experience in Pediatrics and/or Neonatology
Desirable
- Independent Prescriber qualification or in progress
- Demonstrable experience in antimicrobial stewardship
- Postgraduate management qualification or relevant experience
- Experience in cross-sector collaboration, virtual wards, primary care, and prescribing support
