About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Minehead Medical Centre. As a key member of our primary care team, you will play a vital role in providing expert support to our GP practices and delivering high-quality patient care consultations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on medicines, repeat prescriptions, and pharmaceutical care aspects of the multidisciplinary team workload.
  • Work closely with our primary care sites to assist with prescribing and high-risk drug management audits.
  • Use critical thinking and effective communication skills to assess accurately the caller's needs and provide clear and understandable information and advice.
  • Prescribe appropriately for patients requiring urgent prescriptions using access to summary care record information.
  • Identify and appropriately action clinical risks for health and medicines queries in line with professional responsibility.
  • Record in a timely manner a true and accurate record of the information and advice given.
Requirements
  • Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Have successfully completed CPPE General practice pharmacist pathway.
  • Be a Non-Medical Prescriber.
  • Maintain professional and clinical competence through mechanisms of continuing professional development.
  • Have extensive experience of working within a primary care setting.
