Job Overview

This position offers the flexibility of being fully remote for candidates based in the UK.

Your main duty will be to serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned private equity, real estate, credit, or debt fund clients. You will be part of a collaborative team, taking ownership of your responsibilities while proactively managing your deliverables and addressing any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizing your accounting expertise, you will assess quarterly and annual working papers, financial statements, investor reports, and distribution notices to ensure that fund movements and transactions comply with legal agreements and relevant accounting standards.
  • You will also support fund managers and client representatives with various ad hoc tasks. Your analytical skills will enable you to interpret data, providing clear insights on trends and discrepancies while effectively resolving any challenges that may occur.
  • Collaboration with your line manager and the technical team will be essential to ensure that financial statements align with the Funds' reporting standards, such as IFRS or local GAAP.
  • While your focus will primarily be on routine fund activities, you will occasionally engage in complex accounting issues, including equalisations, rebalances, bank interest swaps, hedging, and loans. You will also oversee the annual audit process, facilitating technical discussions with auditors as needed.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for this role to foster effective relationships across the organization. You will also need to cultivate strong client relationships, gaining insights into their needs and delivering tailored solutions.

Qualifications
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Relevant experience in a professional office setting, preferably within financial services or accounting practice, managing multiple client relationships. Experience in multijurisdictional organizations with diverse stakeholders is also valued.
  • Proficient in preparing and potentially reviewing working paper files and financial statements, including disclosures.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting (UK GAAP/US GAAP/IFRS).
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and resolve issues directly with clients or other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with a proactive mindset.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
