About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Southwark. As a key member of our SEND Provision, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, such as autism, to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans for students with SEND.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring that all materials and resources are accessible and engaging for students with SEND.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social skills, emotional well-being, and academic achievement.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless support for students with SEND.
