We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our experienced and knowledgeable nursing team at Price's Mill Surgery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the practice clinical team in delivering safe, effective, and high-quality services to our patient population.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of routine patient care, managing own pre-booked clinics under the supervision of the Practice Nurse Lead.
- Undertake specific clinical activities for named patients, including dressings, 4-layer bandaging, and suture/clip removal.
- Assist in the assessment and surveillance of patients' health and well-being.
- Participate in the maintenance of environments and equipment before, during, and after patient care interventions.
- Support the practice team in the delivery of high-quality primary care services.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an HCA role in health and social care.
- GCSE Mathematics and English C or above, or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy qualification.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good IT skills.
- Ability to follow direction and standard operating procedures while using own initiative.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
