Gemini Rail Group is seeking a skilled Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding structural components on rail vehicles using various methods. The ideal candidate will have a minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent in welding or a similar qualification, and experience in an engineering environment. The role requires the ability to work to a high level of detail and precision, follow technical instructions, and prioritize tasks effectively. The successful candidate will be expected to complete a weld test to BS EN standards as a requirement for employment. The job requires the ability to work in both core and non-core trades, and the candidate will be expected to complete necessary paperwork according to Depot Procedures. The role also requires the ability to work in a clean and tidy manner, take care of all working property, and handle it in a safe working manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and being responsible for the quality of work undertaken and to required standards. The role requires the ability to follow and work to all site safety standards and rules, and follow all work to all technical instructions. The ideal candidate will have trained in problem-solving techniques, root cause analysis, and team working. The role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic team focused on driving technological improvements and high-quality solutions to meet the demands of customers in the rail industry. The successful candidate will be expected to work as directed by their Line Manager or team leader, undertake all tasks of their own trade and non-core activities of other dissimilar trades, and maybe required to instruct others. The role requires the ability to prioritize own work, advise and inform of any defects found in the course of their duties, and complete necessary paperwork according to Depot Procedures. The successful candidate will be expected to ensure that work is completed in a clean and tidy manner, take care of all working property, and handle it in a safe working manner. The role requires the ability to deliver and be responsible for the quality of work undertaken and to required standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in an engineering environment and be able to work to a high level of detail and precision.
