Role Overview:
As a Credit Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial stability of our business by managing the company's credit and collections process. You will be responsible for maintaining healthy cash flow, minimizing overdue accounts, and fostering strong relationships with our clients to ensure timely payments.
Credit Management:
Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing clients, set up credit limits, and monitor outstanding balances.
Invoicing & Collections:
Issue duplicate invoices and follow up with clients on outstanding payments through regular communication.
Debt Recovery:
Manage overdue accounts, negotiate payment plans, and escalate cases where necessary.
Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on aged debt, cash flow forecasts, and provide analysis to the finance team.
Client Relations:
Maintain positive client relationships, addressing any billing disputes and ensuring a smooth payment process.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements in credit control processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales and account management teams to resolve any client issues related to payments.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar finance role, preferably within the advertising or media industry.
- Strong understanding of credit management principles and debt recovery processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE, Xero) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
