About the Role:

Voyage Care Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Service Manager to join our team in Axminster. As a Deputy Service Manager, you will play a central role in leading our residential service and supporting individuals with learning disabilities to gain more independence in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of colleagues to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Develop and implement person-centered support plans to meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Conduct care needs assessments and complete supervisions/appraisals to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Recruit and induct new colleagues to ensure a smooth transition into the team.
  • Complete medication competencies and medication audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Attend multi-disciplinary meetings to discuss individual care plans and share best practices.
  • Complete reports and provide regular updates to the Registered Manager.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care management role, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds, and challenging behaviors.
