Internship Overview:

We are seeking a number of interns with robust quantitative skills to join our Systematic Trading team. This internship will be offered for an initial period of three months, with the possibility of extension based on performance.

Your Role at Onyx:

  • Assisting in the development of high-quality systematic trading strategies in live environments.
  • Overseeing continuous trading activities, evaluating strategy performance, and managing associated risks.
  • Integrating signals and pertinent datasets into the global execution framework.
  • Tracking signal behavior and the performance of the execution platform over time.
  • Supporting the comprehensive trading cycle from risk calibration to execution of trades.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, or engineering.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods and machine learning techniques.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Python is advantageous.
  • Experience in analyzing large datasets across various timeframes.
  • A genuine interest in global energy and commodities markets.
  • Intellectual curiosity to investigate new datasets, tackle complex challenges, drive innovative solutions, and connect insights across different domains.
  • Ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
