About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Gym and Fitness Instructor to join our team at Northampton High School.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering enrichment, games, and PE sessions for pupils, as well as wellbeing sessions for staff.

Key requirements of the role include:

  • Working with the Director of Sport to ensure pupils can use the Fitness suite during allocated sessions;
  • Helping young people identify personal goals and develop tailored fitness programmes;
  • Offering fitness sessions for staff as part of the wellbeing programme;
  • Undertaking induction for pupils and staff using the equipment as needed;
  • Demonstrating use of equipment and devising activities for groups in consultation with the Director of Sport or other Sport Staff;
  • Recording and monitoring daily safety checks of the gym equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification and experience of instructing in a fitness suite.
