About the Position

We are looking to recruit a minimum of 4 part-time Care Assistants (female) to offer care and assistance to individuals in need.

If you possess the ability to bring smiles to others while visiting them in their homes, a role as a Care Assistant with Be Caring may be ideal for you. No formal qualifications or degrees are necessary, but a compassionate mindset is essential. Each day presents unique challenges, and a positive attitude is crucial.

Compensation: £12.00 per hour for drivers & £11.50 per hour for walkers

  • Mileage reimbursement: 45p per mile for drivers / 20p per mile for cyclists
  • Incentive programs: up to £300 for new starters, £300 for referrals, and an annual bonus of £300. Additionally, a £25 birthday gift voucher.

As a Care Assistant with Be Caring, your working hours will align with our shift schedules, which include late shifts and weekend work:

  • Full days: 7am - 2pm & 4pm - 10pm
  • Weekend shifts required

Your working pattern will be established in a 2-week rota that encompasses:

  • Alternate weekends
  • Evening shifts as agreed

Job Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant with Be Caring, you will utilize your skills in patience, empathy, and effective communication, which are vital for this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering personal care that upholds the dignity of individuals.
  • Encouraging independence through supportive methods.
  • Assisting individuals in achieving their personal goals, collaborating with families and professionals.
  • Connecting individuals with community resources and services.
  • Providing personalized care that respects individual choices and preferences.
  • Maintaining clear communication, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with relevant parties in a timely manner.
Training and Development

We are looking for individuals who embody the values of Be Caring to join our workforce. Previous care experience is not a requirement, as we recognize that many transferable skills can come from various backgrounds, such as retail or hospitality. We will equip you with the necessary training to excel as a Care Assistant.

Comprehensive induction training will cover:

  • Core values of Be Caring, focusing on exceeding expectations to meet personal outcomes.
  • Understanding dignity, respect, safeguarding, and promoting equality and diversity.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Nutrition, hydration, and safe medication administration.
  • Safe moving and positioning techniques, basic life support, and managing pressure sores.
  • Infection control, health, and safety protocols.
  • Understanding learning disabilities, mental health, and capacity issues.
