Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Procurement Lawyer to join our team at GB010 Marsh Corporate Services. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a crucial role in providing legal support and guidance to our global procurement function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on procurement-related matters to our global procurement team.
- Negotiate and draft vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage legal risks associated with procurement activities across our global operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement procurement strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and providing guidance to the team.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of PQE experience in commercial/contract law.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to deliver clear and pragmatic solutions.
- Ability to effectively identify risk issues and escalate upwards, as appropriate.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines and tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage expectations well.
- Experience working with data protection legislation and negotiating DPAs.
- Maintain up-to-date legal knowledge to ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
- Able to take initiative, be proactive, and take ownership of matters and develop self.
- A team player who offers to help colleagues and shares workload.
- Understand the various business offerings within the organization.
- IT skills – experience with Microsoft Office.
- Enthusiastic and looking to develop a long-term career in-house.
- LLB or equivalent legal qualification.
