Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer with a robust background in intricate mechanical system design, requiring at least a decade of relevant experience.
Role Responsibilities:
This position is hands-on and necessitates a strong command of CATIA, along with excellent communication and project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee cross-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide technical leadership for all mechanical system components within engineering initiatives.
- Standardize mechanical design practices across various projects.
- Formulate design specifications that align with project goals regarding budget and timelines.
- Utilize CAE tools extensively, both in-house and externally, for concept and component engineering to achieve project objectives.
Risk Management:
- Identify and implement risk assessment strategies (DFMEA) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate design for manufacturing (DFM) discussions with the supplier network.
- Authorize all technical engineering drawings at the Senior Engineer level.
- Define testing requirements for mechanical components and systems.
- Oversee the execution of mechanical component and system testing, ensuring comprehensive project validation.
- Lead the mechanical system assembly process and address servicing considerations.
Project Management:
- Prepare and present project design specifications for both internal and client-facing purposes.
- Manage the engineering budget for projects effectively.
- Coordinate engineering resources to guarantee timely project delivery.
- Control the project bill of materials and manage engineering change processes.
- Facilitate project design reviews for both internal stakeholders and clients.
- Oversee project cost and timing assessments, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure project delivery meets organizational standards.
Team Development: Support the growth and development of graduate engineers and junior team members.
