Overview

Take charge of the commercial operations for a range of light rail initiatives within the Midland Metro Alliance framework. Your role will encompass overseeing the project lifecycle from initial planning through to final account settlement, ensuring the achievement of optimal financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and nurture commercial teams for various projects
  • Promote a strong commercial focus and implement best practices
  • Oversee all contractual issues and associated risks
  • Establish and track project financial plans
  • Ensure precise financial documentation
  • Provide support in procurement processes
  • Negotiate contracts and finalize accounts
  • Guide and mentor junior team members
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary
Candidate Profile

Experience in finance or commercial roles within the engineering or construction sectors is essential. Previous experience as a Commercial Manager on civil or infrastructure projects is required. Familiarity with financial systems and contract types is crucial, along with expertise in cost management and reporting.

Qualifications

A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management accredited by RICS or CIOB is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Management is necessary, with a proven history of success in large-scale projects.
