About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing Solicitor to join our team at Duncan Lewis, a leading law firm in the UK. As a Housing Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation to clients in all aspects of housing law, including homelessness, property ownership disputes, and neighborhood problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with casework, including dealing with public and private housing cases, and undertaking your own advocacy
  • Ensure compliance with file management and maintain accurate records
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members as needed
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of the Housing team and the firm's overall strategy
Requirements
  • Proven experience in housing law, with a strong understanding of the relevant legislation and case law
  • Excellent networking and communication skills, with the ability to successfully market the firm and generate new business
  • Working knowledge of the publicly funded housing work, including legal representation and legal aid
  • Ability to service privately funded cases and provide expert advice to clients
  • Experience in own advocacy is an advantage
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and document management
