About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sustainability Consultant to join our Smart Energy and Sustainability team in Bristol. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients unlock cheaper, cleaner, and more reliable energy, while delivering on wider environmental and sustainability principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the delivery of BREEAM projects, working closely with senior members of the team.
  • Develop and implement energy strategies, including Part L and LCA assessments.
  • Manage your own workload to meet project deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Review project details and develop targets for sustainability, providing expert advice to clients and project teams.
  • Communicate sustainability requirements to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Produce reports providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams, highlighting key sustainability opportunities and challenges.
  • Attend site visits to review progress against sustainability targets, providing on-the-ground support and expertise.
  • Review project performance on a monthly basis, updating the team's project tracker with progress information.
  • Assist in preparing bids and proposals for new work, leveraging your expertise to secure new business opportunities.
  • Engage with industry networks to exchange best practices and processes, staying up-to-date with the latest industry developments.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, sharing your knowledge and expertise to drive team success.
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant degree, BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) or equivalent/higher.
  • Be a qualified BREEAM Assessor.
  • Have a background in building physics/environmental design, environmental science, or sustainability-related disciplines.
  • Have working knowledge of building performance modeling techniques.
  • Have knowledge of planning, environmental impact assessments, or wider sustainability legislation.
  • Have knowledge of or technical ability in building services-related disciplines.
  • Be ambitious, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
  • Have excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the construction industry and built environment.
  • Be able to manage projects.
  • Have client relationship management skills.
  • Have Part L modeling experience (TAS preferable) and LCA experience (OneClick LCA preferable).
