Job Title: Senior Analytical Chemist

Campden BRI is a leading organization in the food and drink industry, ensuring the safety and quality of products for consumers worldwide. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytical Chemist to join our team of experts in analytical chemistry testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality analytical services within the metals/minerals team, ensuring the provision of relevant and cost-effective services to the food and allied industries.
  • Operate and effectively utilize resources and facilities to ensure efficient delivery of results.
  • Report certificates in line with ISO17025 requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform technical operations required within a specific process and/or laboratory area, providing practical assistance to colleagues.
  • Design and develop methodology using ICP, HPLC or LCMS for a range of analysis for food and drink when required.
  • Respond to client enquiries relating to testing within the group, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Conduct work in accordance with all relevant policies, rules, methods, procedures, and instructions, ensuring compliance with specific project, study, or work plans.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent experience in the field of analytical science.
  • Good knowledge of food science and technology.
  • Good understanding and experience of ICP-MS/OES, HPLC or LCMS appropriate to the investigation of issues relevant to the food and allied industries.
  • Experience as a test signatory under an ISO17025 quality management system.
  • Flexibility to work on multiple tasks and manage priorities effectively.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven effectiveness in managing timely and cost-effective delivery of technical services/research outputs.
