Interaction Recruitment is collaborating with a prominent, nationwide packaging firm that is experiencing significant growth and is looking to add an electromechanical maintenance technician to their team. Base salary starts at £43,000, with potential progression to £48,000 after successful completion of the probation period.

Responsibilities include performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and addressing reactive breakdowns promptly to reduce machinery downtime.

  • Collaborate with engineering management and fellow technicians to resolve breakdowns efficiently and professionally
  • Participate in training and development courses as required
  • Work alongside other technicians to maintain and repair production machinery.
Requirements include a minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in packaging, manufacturing, FMCG, or a related field.

  • A balanced skill set in mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis, with a preference for electrical expertise
  • Prior experience in repairing and troubleshooting components such as motors, gearboxes, conveyor systems, converters, inverters, or PLCs
  • Relevant electrical/mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQs) or equivalent experience
  • A willingness to learn, share knowledge, and attend training sessions as necessary.
