Job Details

Network Open is seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team in Newcastle upon Tyne. As a Full or Part time Optometrist, you will be responsible for visiting patients in their own homes to carry out clinical tests and dispense medication. This is a Monday to Friday role, with no weekends required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out clinical tests and dispense medication to patients in their own homes
  • Work with the latest mobile technology, including portable digital fundus cameras, mobile slit lamp, and I-care tonometer
  • Travel to various locations from your postal address and see 6/7 patients a day
  • Work with a sympathetic approach and empathy, as some patients will be elderly and frail
