Job Title: Multiskilled Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

Pin Point Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Technician to join a renowned industrial and commercial laundry business based in the UK. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the plant and equipment, providing support for all maintenance tasks and projects, and contributing to the continuous improvement of plant, machinery, and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all planned maintenance activities are completed on time, feeding back information to the Senior Engineer to improve the maintenance system and activities.
  • Work closely with the Engineer on the opposite shift to ensure all handover of ongoing activities is carried out every day, and sharing all other information and practices as required.
  • Provide knowledge and input into the continuous improvement of plant, machinery, and maintenance activities.
  • Work with the Senior Engineer and Engineering Manager to identify long-running problems and suitable solutions.
  • Ensure that as part of the engineering team, always look to improve equipment performance, reliability, and running costs for replacement parts and consumables.
  • Undertake repairs to equipment in a safe and timely manner, ensuring that production is constantly updated on progress.
  • Undertake remedial engineering works to equipment or site as instructed by the Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure any risks of safety or failure of equipment or site are communicated to the Manager.

Working Hours:

The successful candidate will be required to work 4 nights per week, Monday to Thursday, 9pm – 7am. Alternatively, they may be required to work earlies one week and lates the next.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical fabrication and maintenance experience.
  • Electrical installation and maintenance experience, preferably with 18th Edition certification.
  • Electronic fault finding skills to component level, preferably with experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, and steam systems.
