About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Contract Manager to oversee Facilities Management and Fleet Services contracts. You will play a crucial role in ensuring these contracts meet contractual requirements for safety, environmental compliance, cost, time, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Your Responsibilities
- Drive the performance of assigned Facilities Management/Fleet Services contracts and provide expert contract advice and guidance.
- Ensure all contracts are managed in accordance with Western Power's Contract Lifecycle Management Framework, including Procurement Policy and Contract Management Standard. This involves:
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive Contract Management Plan (CMP) that aligns with contractual requirements.
- Reviewing contract deliverables such as SHE risk registers, scope of work, specifications, drawings, and pricing schedules.
- Ensuring Contractor plans are received and approved in line with the contract terms.
- Monitoring and managing compliance to Contractor plans, including safety, environmental, quality, schedule, and pricing aspects.
- Verifying and certifying Contractor claims, such as progress variations and extensions of time (EOT).
- Completing Contractor performance reporting requirements.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A degree or equivalent in Business, Law, or Commerce.
- A Contract Management Qualification.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in contract management, including high-value/complex contracts.
- At least 10+ years of significant contract management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of and ability to interpret legislation related to contract law.
- Technical leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, complemented by influencing and negotiation abilities.
- A desire to implement change and innovation, both internally and through contract arrangements.
- Experience in negotiation, conflict resolution, and managing public and stakeholder relations.
- The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels within a corporate environment.
Desirable Attributes
- Contract management experience specifically in Facilities Management/Fleet services contracts.
- Extensive knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance across a broad range of both hard and soft facility services.
