**Job Title:** Mechanical Day Shift Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Day Shift Engineer to join our team at CBW Staffing Solutions. As a Mechanical Day Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and systems in a commercial building environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and maintain mechanical plant, including pumps, motors, seals, and bearings.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on air conditioning systems, including air handling units and fan coil units.
- Conduct water treatment checks and ensure proper dosing.
- Carry out plumbing repairs, including unblocking toilets and replacing taps and washers.
- Monitor and maintain Building Management System (BMS) systems.
- Perform basic electrical duties, including lamp changes.
- Conduct general building fabric repairs and maintenance.
- Escort specialist subcontractors as required.
- Undertake all allocated tasks in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify and report faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
- Ensure all Health and Safety issues are reported and escalated as required.
- Maintain informal communications with client staff members related to service levels and issues.
- Report service-affecting issues to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
- Mechanical qualification level 2 (C&G, NVQ, etc.) minimum.
- Trade certificates (essential).
- Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
- Multi-skilled.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including 4 on 4 off, 6 on 4 off, and 4 on 6 off shifts.
